Gothenburg striker Stina Blackstenius hopes to be able to join the national team squad soon.

After having feelings of sore throat, she is now asymptomatic and if she gets a negative answer from Tuesday's sampling for the coronavirus, she is welcome into the European Championship qualifying bubble.

But regardless of the answer, she will not play at home against Latvia on Thursday.

- If the test answer is okay, she joins, but we took out 25 players in the squad, of which we can use 23 in the match.

So she is not up for the game tomorrow, we judge both that we have quality in the squad and that she has not trained football with us these days, says Sweden's national team captain Peter Gerhardsson the day before the match.

In the event of a negative test result, Blackstenius, on the other hand, is relevant for the group final against Iceland on Tuesday, which will also be played in Gothenburg.
