The Syrian League kicks off tomorrow with the attendance of the public

The activities of the Syrian Football League will start tomorrow with a number of matches, which will witness the overcoming of the precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Federation announcing that the public will be allowed to attend the matches.

"Based on the directives issued by the government team concerned with dealing with the Coronavirus, the Syrian Football Association decided to allow the masses to enter the stadiums during the competitions of local competitions at 40 percent of the capacity," a statement by the federation affirmed, stressing the maintenance of the spacing in the stands.

"The responsibility now rests with the security authorities, the executive committees and the clubs, to control the process of entering the stadiums," said Federation President Hatem Al-Ghayeb, told (AFP).

The first stage of the fiftieth edition will start with the participation of 14 teams, and with hot confrontations, led by Lattakia Derby between Hattin and neighboring Tishreen, the title holder.

Tishreen is missing the efforts of his federally sanctioned captain Mohamed Marmour, four games, after receiving a red card in his team’s Super Cup match last week.

In Damascus, the Army team will meet with Al-Ittihad in an equal confrontation, while Homs is witnessing the meeting of Al-Karama, which seeks to restore its glories by contracting with internationals Amr Janniyat and Tamer Haj Muhammad, with Al-Harjala, who succeeded in reaching the Premier League five years after its establishment.

The newcomer strengthened his ranks with a number of international stars, most notably goalkeeper Ibrahim Alama and heart of defense Hadi Al-Masry and young striker Nour Al-Halabi, and some expect him to be the black horse of the championship.

In the capital, too, the bully meets the police in a confrontation in which the bully is tilted, in light of the loss of the police, his most prominent stars, by moving to other clubs.

In Tartous, Al-Sahel will play Al-Wathba in a close match, and Al-Talia will meet its guest Jabla in Hama.

In Aleppo, Al-Hurriya, who returns to the spotlight, looks forward to a positive result in front of its guest, Al-Wahda.
