In 2015, Frölunda HC was reported to the Discrimination Ombudsman because the logo and the additional name "Indians" were considered offensive.
The issue was recently revived when several sports teams around the world removed symbols that can be perceived as offensive.
In mid-September, Frölunda's board announced that "Indians" would be removed and that the logo would be replaced.
A new logo will be in place for the 2021/2022 season.
Now the club hopes that the fans want to help design the new club brand - Frölunda's fifth in the series.
But it must go fast - the deadline is already 4 November.
- It can come in something that is a really exceptionally good proposal, says the club's chairman Mats Grauers to GP.
- We will be open to finding the best alternative - no matter where it comes from.
