Maybe it was a visit from league-leading arch-rival Frölunda that was required for Färjestad to get its defensive order in SHL ice hockey.

Where it used to look dizzy and hollow, it was now full concentration that applied from the first drop.

It gave the season's second three points for the pressured Karlstad team.

Oskar Bäck, Michael Lindqvist and Carl Jakobsson scored the goals in the 3-0 victory.

- We are active and aggressive.

We move the puck as we want to do in the attacking game and there are many parts of the game without the puck that are better than before, says coach Johan Pennerborn to C More.

The home team always had plenty of people on the surface in front of goalkeeper Arvid Holm and made sure that most of the Frölunda shots came from far away.

Holm thanked his teammates for their help by noting the first zero of the season.

"Know what we get"

Going forward, the intended defensive unit with Bäck, Jakobsson and Pontus Widerström made a really good match.

Bäck shaved in 1-0 halfway into the first period and Jakobsson took advantage of a Frölunda mistake when he shot 3-0 with less than nine minutes left of the match.

- We finished really well last season and it has felt good when we have had the chance now as well.

We do not think so much.

We are just trying to have fun, says Bäck to C More.

Hesitant guests

With the exception of a couple of really long puck possessions in the offensive zone in the second period, the guests from Gothenburg did not show any league leader offensive - and Frölunda was forced to go home as table three.

- We become too comfortable.

We hesitate both with and without the puck.

It's that second of thought you can not afford.

Färjestad has the attitude and wins fairly, says coach Roger Rönnberg to C More.
