A French team announces 12 cases of Corona, including an Algerian player

French football club Montpellier announced today, Friday, that eight players and four employees of the club have been infected with the new Corona virus, as revealed by tests.


The names of the players who were infected were not announced.


The club said in a statement: "The tests were conducted yesterday (Thursday) and revealed eight positive cases among the players and four among the workers."


He continued, "A new round of tests were conducted this morning for everyone. The 12 infected people were isolated, according to the protocol followed."


The French "Medi Libre" newspaper, published in Montpellier, revealed that among the injured were the Algerian international striker Andy Delor, captain Vitorino Hilton, coach Michel Der Zakarian, his assistant Frank Rizzito and goalkeeper coach Teddy Richard.


Delors participated in the two friendly matches of the Algerian national team against Nigeria and Mexico last Friday and Tuesday, noting that the tests had revealed that he had been infected with the infection last August.


Montpellier will meet Monaco on Sunday in the French League.
