World-renowned football star Cristiano Ronaldo was infected with Corona 19.
The Portuguese Football Association said, "Ronaldo has tested positive for Corona 19 and is currently in quarantine."
The association said Ronaldo showed no symptoms of infection, but did not say when it was confirmed.
Ronaldo, who had been summoned by the Portuguese national team, will not compete in the European Football Federation Nations League match against Sweden on the 14th.
Following Ronaldo's confirmation of Corona 19, other players were also tested, but all were negative, the association explained.
Previously, famous football players such as Neymar and Mbafe of Paris Saint-Germain in the French professional football league and Paul Pogba of Manchester United in the English Premier League were infected with Corona 19.
Dustin Johnson, the world's No. 1 men's golf golfer, was also confirmed as Corona 19.
The American Professional Golf Association issued a statement and revealed that Johnson tested positive for Corona 19.
Johnson was selected as the PGA Tour'Player of the Year' with 3 wins in the 2019-2020 season.
Johnson, who was scheduled to participate in the CJ Cup tournament to be held in Shadow Creek, Nevada, USA on the 15th local time, is known to have not attended the tournament.
