The Hand Union distributes its administrative bags and sets October 19 as the date for the start of the new season

The Handball Federation, at its headquarters in Dubai, held its first meeting in the new election cycle 2020-2024, attended by the president of the federation, Nabil Ashour, and the members Abdul Salam Rabie, Nasser Al Hammadi, Abdullah Al Kaabi, Saud Mohammed, Faisal Al Tawash and Anisa Al Shaddadi, during which the administrative bags were distributed. And setting a date for October 19 for the start of the new season 2020-2021.

Prior to the meeting, a session was held that brought together the outgoing old union headed by Muhammad Abdul Karim Julfar, and the new union headed by Nabil Ashour, during which the custody and technical reports were handed over to the Board of Directors of the Hand Union in the 2016-2020 electoral cycle, in a traditional procedure that is held according to the steps followed and the federations regulations and systems Sports derived from the regulations of the General Sports Authority.

The first meeting resulted in the assignment of the duties of the Chairman of the Development Committee to the President of the Federation, Nabil Ashour, and the selection of Abd al-Salam Rabi’a to occupy the position of Vice President of the Federation and Chairman of the Referees Committee. Teams, and let the position of financial manager go to Saud Muhammad, and Dawood Al-Malih chairs the Competitions Committee, Adnan Al Shamsi as Chairman of the Legal Committee, Faisal Al-Tawash as Chairman of the Trainers Committee, and finally Anisa Al-Shaddadi was granted the position of Chairman of the Women's Committee in the Union.

For his part, the new president of the Handball Federation, Nabil Ashour, affirmed that the next stage is titled “Work in the spirit of one family,” which aims to develop the game by making use of available expertise and resources in all fields, and investing in talents to achieve achievements.

Ashour said in a press statement, that: "The Game Federation developed an integrated strategic plan aimed mainly at building teams capable of reaching the coronation podiums, in addition to the interest in qualifying national cadres of international coaches, lecturers and referees, and organizing, improving and developing the methods and systems of competitions in all stages," And strengthening partnership with the Ministry of Education and sports councils, and diversifying marketing plans, both internally and externally. "

For his part, Secretary-General Nasser Al-Hammadi confirmed that, based on the approval of the General Sports Authority, of the Federation's protocols for precautionary measures for the return of sports activities, the meeting of the Board of Directors has set on October 19, the date for the start of the new season 2020-2021

Al Hammadi said: "The competitions will be held again by holding four matches from the last round of the general league competition for the men's stage for the last season 2019-2020, provided that Tuesday, October 20, will witness the Sharjah match with Al Wasl in the same round, during which Sharjah will witness the crowning of the league title."

He added: "The Federation will hold a meeting next Saturday with representatives of clubs, referees and technical observers, aiming to explain the precautionary measures guide and the health protocol for the return of activity and matches."
