Zamalek's board of directors turns on the "advisor"

Today, Monday, Al-Youm Al-Masry website reported that the board of directors of the Zamalek Club rejected the request of its president, Counselor Mortada Mansour, to convene a board of directors to challenge the decision of the National Olympic Committee, which issued a decision against him to freeze for a period of four years.

Media reports added that members of the board of directors led by the club’s vice president, Counselor Ahmed Jalal Ibrahim, refused to hold the meeting in implementation of the decision against him, and that the majority decided not to meet with Mortada Mansour until after his position was modified to freeze his dismissal from the club’s presidency.

The Egyptian journalist Abu El-Maati Zaki unveiled a strong verbal altercation that occurred between the suspended club president and his deputy, against the background of the latter's permission for the financial inspection committee of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to review the accounts and financial balances of the club after the changes that occurred in the club's management after the dismissal of Mortada Mansour .

Abu El-Maati Zaki confirmed that the altercation between the president and his deputy would have almost reached the point of interlocking hands had it not been for the intervention of a number of attendees who sought to calm the tense atmosphere between them.
