Video: A goal in the 90th minute crowned Raja with the Moroccan League title

Attacking midfielder Abdelilah El Hafizi led his team, Raja Casablanca, to its first title in seven years and the twelfth in its history, by scoring a double victory over its guest Royal Army (2-1) on Sunday in the last thirtieth stage of the Moroccan Football League.

Al-Hafizi scored the two goals in the 62nd and 90th minutes, while Ivory Coast Joseph Gide Konadu (42) scored the FAR goal.

The excitement reached its climax in the final stage with the limited competition for the title between the trio of Raja Casablanca and its neighbor and traditional rivals Wydad Casablanca, last season's champion, and Nahdet Berkane.

The fate of the title was in the hands of Raja Casablanca, as it was one point ahead of its rivals Wydad and three points ahead of Nahdet Berkane, and thus his victory in the Clasico against the Royal Army would guarantee him the title, regardless of his neighbor’s match with Wydad with its host Al Fateh Al Rabat and Nahdet Berkane in front of its host Olympique Sorry.

Raja Casablanca found itself lagging behind Konado's goal in the 42nd minute, and the same was true for its neighbor, Wydad, whose goal was a penalty kick that Cameroonian Jean-Joseph Kombos set out successfully (32), but Ivorian Gbagbo Junior Magby equalized for Wydad after nine minutes, while Nahdet Berkane advanced. Host Olympique Safi, with a goal by its striker Mohsen Yajur (37 from a penalty kick).

Al-Hafizi restored hope to Raja Casablanca by striking a draw at the beginning of the second half (62), and he was on his way to achieving the title until the 88th minute, which saw Zuhair Al-Marjee score the winning goal for Wydad Casablanca against Al-Fateh (88), but Al Hafizi did it for the second time and scored the winning goal for Raja Casablanca. In the last minute, he awarded the title to his team.

Raja Casablanca, the runner-up of last season, ended the season in the lead with 60 points compared to 59 for Wydad Casablanca, and they will participate together in the African Champions League competition next season, knowing that they will play the round of four for the current season's edition, where they will host the Egyptian football poles Zamalek and Al-Ahly respectively at the end of this week .

On the other hand, Nahdet Berkane came third with 57 points and will participate in the Confederation Cup competition, which lost its final round last year to Zamalek with a penalty shootout, and will play the role of the four this season in front of compatriot Hassania Agadir next Monday.
