No full Scandinavium is needed for Frölunda to start the matches at a high pace.

Against Skellefteå, they took command immediately, and found many gaps central to the guests' defense.

1-0 therefore did not come as a shock.

Johan Sundström won a melee in the left corner, which allowed Robin Alvarez to twist the puck and then put the puck into a pure Patrik Carlsson in front of goal that easily lifted the lead goal.

Despite the game advantage from Frölunda, Skellefteå was not harmless.

Jonatan Berggren and Joakim Lindström each had a puck in the goal frame.

However, there would be an extended lead before Skellefteå would get a puck past Johan Mattsson.

Sundström showed class again

15 minutes into the second, Johan Sundström showed strength again.

In the waves of a powerplay, he took matters into his own hands from a position in the left corner, and stepped straight into the goal, rounded Gustaf Lindvall in the Skellefteå goal and put 2-0.

Skellefteå only a minute later got a ticket back into the match when Kiiskinen was hooked in a free position.

Joakim Lindström, who was still scoreless this season, got the chance - but missed even though he cheated on Mattsson.

However, the revenge came immediately.

68 seconds later, Lindström got a gap high up to the left in the castle, and scored the reduction in the right cross.

Lindström goal scorer again

In the third, Skellefteå was on a receipt hunt.

And in the end, it's small.

Lindström showed that he is still the goal thief he has been in recent years and acknowledged with just over four minutes left.

After Andreas Wingerli made a fine preparation, Lindström got the club lead on the puck when he crashed towards the goal.

60 minutes was not enough

After a goalless extra time, it was penalties that decided the match.

It was Frölunda who pulled the longest straw after Lucas Raymond became the only goal scorer.
