2020 is the season and year that Danish speedway star Niels-Kristian Iversen probably wants to forget faster than quick.

In two weeks, most things have gone wrong for Iversen.

It started with a crash in the last World Cup competition in Torun, Poland.

The next day he crashed again, and was brutally run over when World Cup colleague Tai Woffinden did not have time to give way in a match in the Polish league.

On the same day, it also became clear that he will not run the WC series 2021, as he did not receive a permanent wild card.

Rejected the Swedish finals

Due to the crashes in Poland, he could not drive in the Swedish finals for the Indians, who lost the battle for the gold against the Masars.

As if that were not enough, the Danish driver has now been tested positive for covid-19.

He announces this himself on social media.

"I just want everyone to know that I have tested positive for covid 19. The symptoms are small right now and I feel good under the circumstances.

So right now I am in quarantine "writes Iversen on twitter.
