The deadline for submitting professional aspirations, which is required for high school and university students who wish to become professionals, is on the 12th. According to the Japan High School Baseball Federation, 216 high school students, 77 more than last year, submitted.



This is the largest number since high school students were required to submit a professional aspiration report in 2004.



Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, there are fewer opportunities for players to show off their abilities, such as the cancellation of Koshien in spring and summer, so from August to September, professional baseball scouts for high school students. A joint practice session was held for visitors to visit, but it seems that the number of submitters has increased because it was necessary to submit a professional aspiration report to participate in this practice session.



Among the players who submitted, the ones who attracted attention were pitcher Hiroto Takahashi of Aichi Chukyo University Chukyo High School, who has the fastest straight of 154 km, and Hyogo Akashi Commercial, which entered the best 4 in the spring and summer in a row at Koshien as a sophomore ace last year.
