Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public since the ski accident in 2013. After the accident, he was placed in an artificial coma and at present very little is known about the legend's health condition.
His son Mick Schumacher would actually have "debuted" in Formula 1 in Germany, but when the training rained away, it did not happen.
Everyday he drives Formula 2 and today he was on hand to give his father's helmet to Hamilton who broke the record.
- I do not know what to say. I remember I was Michael in a video game and I did not think any driver would even be close to his record. When I finished, I did not realize that I had touched his record. I have great respect for Michael, says the British.
