Four straight wins are required for Sweden to reach the U21 European Championships in Hungary and Slovenia in 2021. On Friday night, they picked the first when they beat Luxembourg in the European Championship qualifiers at Olympia in Helsingborg.

And it turned out to be a fairly comfortable match in Sweden.

After 19 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Pontus Almqvist to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors.

Only three minutes later, Almqvist fixed a penalty for Sweden.

Jesper Karlsson, who left Elfsborg for the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in mid-September, took care of it in the best way and easily sent the ball in the right corner to 1-0.

After that, things went well for Sweden.

Helsingborg's Max Svensson put 2-0 in the match minute 31 and two minutes later he assisted Jesper Karlsson who made it 3-0.

In the 72nd minute, Malmö FF's Felix Beijmo put the final score 4-0.

- It is a good performance by the whole team.

We do what we are good at and it is our offensive changes and we punish them very hard there, Eric Kahl told Cmore after the match.
