Undefeated Brynäs had seven straight victories and thundered on to take their eighth.

And the question is how the match would have ended if the referees had seen the team's reduction with five minutes left.

Destroyed goal in the final minutes

Rosa Lindstedt got the puck at the blue line.

Took two inserts forward and pulled it straight up into the inner rib.

The Brynäs players cheered briefly but the game continued and the uncertainty spread.

But when the replay then rolled, it was clearer.

The puck took the inner rib and bounced straight out and the league leader had the reduction ruled out at a disadvantage 2-4.

This may have been a decisive event as the reduction would instead delay until there were less than 40 seconds left.

It also did not help much as Linköping was able to close the match to 5-3 in an empty cage shortly afterwards.

Brynäs in the lead with 2-0

Otherwise, it was also a match where Brynäs was at his best in the beginning.

Early on, they took the lead to 1-0 and had not Linköping's goalkeeper Stephanie Neatby played big, the score would have been much more than 2-1 at the break.

In others it became more exciting and despite the fact that there were chances for both teams, it was Linköping who took the positions.

In less than a minute, Linköping had both taken the lead and then extended it.

This meant that Brynäs was forced to a time out and Agnes Åker was replaced instead of Ellen Jonsson in the box.

Thus, Linköping became the first team to beat Brynäs in this year's SDHL.

A result that means that Brynäs now leads the series on goal difference ahead of Luleå.

Linköping is still three or four points behind.
