The third World Cup competition after the pandemic break will be decided in Sardinia, this weekend.

After an unexpectedly good season, the World Cup table is led by Elfyn Evans, 31, from Wales, in a Toyota.

He is hunted by several former world champions.

- The big question is whether Evans can handle the pressure.

He's never been in this seat before.

But he has a good starting position.

He has a relatively large lead before the last two competitions.

A decent result in Italy can go a long way, says Jonas Kruse.

- Evans has driven both fast and smart and leads the World Cup series well deservedly.

How should drivers like Sebastien Ogier, Ott Tänak and others challenge?

- It is "flat out" that applies.

They have nothing to lose and have to drive so the chips smoke from the start.

Even two Swedes can look forward to important stages this weekend, in lighter classes.

Kruse believes in good opportunities:

Pontus Tidemand, WRC2.

- Run for a World Cup title and this weekend all the best are with and chasing him.

Oliver Solberg, WRC3.

- Comes from a problematic rally in Portugal, including a detour.

But will be in the lead if the car is fast enough.

Tom Kristensson, JWRC.

- Led the junior class when he was forced to break in Turkey, most recently.

Can also become world champion.

The very last World Cup competition will be decided in Belgium, 19-22 November.
