Zamalek club star suspended 6 games

The Discipline and Ethics Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided today to impose numerous penalties and fines on a number of teams, coaches and players, most notably the Tunisian Zamalek player Ferjani Sassi.

The committee suspended Sassi six matches and fined him 100,000 pounds (6400 dollars), after he was sent off against Al-Masry in the local league.

The referee of the match, Amin Omar, was expelled from the Tunisian international by giving him two consecutive warnings after he persisted in his objection to his decisions in an inappropriate manner, because mistakes were not counted in his favor.

After her, Sassi removed the stethoscope from Omar's ear.

It was also decided, within the framework of the same match penalties, to suspend Imam Ashour, the Zamalek player, for one game and to fine him 50 thousand pounds, provided that his penalty begins Tuesday.

The Egyptian club was also fined 50 thousand pounds when some fans attended the match.

The committee suspended Mohamed Ibrahim, coach of Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, six matches with a fine of 100,000 pounds for what he had done towards the referee of his team’s match against Tale'aa Al-Jaish in the league.
