Several Swedish ice hockey teams have been hit hard by covid-19.

A couple of weeks ago, the infection spread in the hockey all-Swedish team BIK Karlskoga and 13 people in the organization were positive.

- We had no crisis plan for this situation, so we had to create it afterwards, along the way.

The biggest challenge was to make sure not to miss anything important, says Håkan Persson, rehab manager to the club's website.

The club has now played a match in the series which had a delayed premiere last Friday.

The information has reached the Public Health Agency, FHM:

- We have a dialogue with the Swedish Sports Confederation and have studied and also looked at Finnish data in study form about what it is that causes hockey in particular and I think it is lessons that you can take with you to other sports, says Tegnell.

He does not believe that the transmission of infection takes place on the ice, but that it is when the players are crowded with each other in different situations.

- Maybe you should avoid congestion in the locker room, congestion in the replacement booth or whatever it is that caused the outbreaks.

We do not think it's on the ice.

We now have to work with helping the hockey team to work safer, says Tegnell.
