So far Lille had rather spared the coronavirus since the start of the season.
But this Tuesday, José Fonte, captain of Losc, tested positive for Covid-19 as announced by the Portuguese football federation.
Interning with his Portuguese national team, the 36-year-old defender had to leave the rally and isolate himself for a period of seven days.
He will therefore not face the French team on Sunday at the Stade de France for a remake of the final of Euro 2016 won (1-0) by the Lusitanians.
So far four Lille players (Bamba, Ikoné, Sanches and Ouattara) had tested positive for Covid-19.
Fonte is the first case recorded since the resumption of Ligue 1.
