Jiu-Jitsu Federation launches an initiative to raise awareness of breast cancer

The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation has revealed its plans to launch a new breast cancer awareness initiative this month.

This step comes as part of the Federation's endeavors to support the activities of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in line with its pioneering contribution in initiatives that aim to enhance the health of the community in its various groups, especially women, given their pivotal role in the renaissance of societies.

According to a press release, the federation intends to support programs to develop efforts for early detection of breast cancer, and to encourage the adoption of healthy and active lifestyles through exercise that allows women to maintain their optimal fitness and health.

Different countries of the world hold Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October, as the global campaign aims to raise awareness about the disease and promote initiatives aimed at early detection.

Studies have proven the contribution of early detection of the disease in increasing survival rates by up to 90%, while healthy lifestyles and regular exercise had a role in reducing the risk of various types of cancer by up to 33%.

The campaign will witness the participation of a group of prominent jiu-jitsu players, who have represented the country in many international jiu-jitsu competitions, by recording their supportive and inspiring messages to encourage women across the country and the region to take care of their health and make exercise an integral part of their daily life activity, as well as encourage them to conquer Get sick through persistence, patience and courage.
