China News Service, September 5th. A few days ago, the Australian Open officially confirmed that Federer will participate in the 2021 Australian Open.

After learning the news, Nadal also sent blessings to his old opponents, hoping that Federer can return to the game as soon as possible.

In June of this year, Swiss tennis star Federer announced on his personal social media that he would withdraw from the 2020 season in order to recover from his right knee injury.

Federer, 38, underwent surgery on his right knee in February this year and withdrew from the French Open and other events. He once said that he would return in the grass court in June.

However, he encountered a problem during the recovery stage of the injury and had to undergo surgery again.

"Because of repeated knee injuries, I had to undergo a second operation. I look forward to returning to the court at the beginning of the 2021 season. Just like I did in the 2017 season, I now hope to get enough rest and be in a 100% state. Come back." Federer said.

After learning that Federer will participate in the 2021 Australian Open, Nadal said: "I know he (physical) is getting better, and I hope he can return as soon as possible. We will not have another 10 years to watch on the court. When I get to him, it is a good thing for everyone to have him, because he is one of the greatest idols in our sport." (End)
