Croatia allows 30% of the audience to attend national team matches

The Croatian Football Association allowed the presence of a limited number of fans in the team's upcoming matches in the European Nations League, against Sweden and France, world champions this month, and Portugal in November.

The stands will open at 30 percent of their capacity in implementation of the decision issued by the European Union for the game on the first of this month.

The Croatian Federation said, "The Croatian fans will again have the opportunity to watch and encourage Valtterni (the national title) in his home matches, after a break of nearly a year due to the Coronavirus epidemic."

And this decision was taken Sunday at a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Croatian Federation.

The European Union for the game (UEFA) has authorized the partial return of fans in the European Champions League and European League matches, which begin on 20 and 22 October, as well as in international friendly matches and the European Nations League, according to the discretion of the local authorities.

However, the decision to ban the public attendance remained applied to the fans of the visiting teams.

The runner-up will meet the world champion on the 11th of this month with Sweden, and then three days later with France, which lost in the final of the World Cup Russia 2018, at the "Maximir" stadium in Zagreb, which can accommodate 35 thousand spectators.

On November 17th, Croatia will face Portugal in Split (south) at the "Bollywood" stadium, which has a capacity of 34,000 spectators.

Croatia lost its first two matches in the European Nations League in September against Portugal (1-4) and France (2-4), making it last in Group Three for the first level of the second edition of the continental tournament.
