The Taekwondo Federation and Al-Nasr Club signed a cooperation agreement to spread the sport of Taekwondo in Dubai, by making use of the club's infrastructure, so that the federation would secure an international trainer from South Korea in cooperation with the Korean embassy in the country, and the club would secure the gym to use for training.

The president of the Taekwondo Federation, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, said in a press conference: "The aim of the agreement is to establish a strong team for the future and of all ages, provided that the training will be launched soon before the end of this year."

He added: "Al-Nasr Club was chosen to be a place to launch taekwondo from Dubai, as it is a great fortress in the Emirati sport, and has a rich history of many achievements in all sports, including individual games."
