Poland stood for the opposition, just like on Thursday when the red and whites fought back 21-19 in Lund, for Sweden in Ystad today.

In the last match before the European Championship squad is taken out, Sweden started the edge game in the first half, at the same time as there was a break in communication backwards.

When the referee blew off for half time, the scoreboard showed 14-12 in Tomas Axnér's second match as Swedish national team captain.

- The attack and counterattack game is better today, but in the defense we need to be a little more compact, Nathalie Hagman told SVT during the break.

Ihdén netted again

Two straight hits in the beginning of the second made Poland equal, but Sweden stepped up the pace and went up in an 18-15 lead.

Then they sharpened further on the ends and put in a higher gear at about the same time as Monika Kobylinska went out injured.

When goalkeeper Filippa Ihdén sent in her ninth goal in 123 international matches, in an empty net, it meant 24-19 for the home team.

The final numbers were written to 27-20.

The European Championships in Norway and Denmark start on December 3 and Sweden starts against the Czech Republic.
