Linn Blohm, 28, was set to continue her handball career in Copenhagen.

She had signed a new three-year contract, but the pandemic changed everything.

- Then a lot was turned upside down in my life.

Then Copenhagen's club owner (Kim Mikkelsen) came to me and he started talking about financial problems.

I was one of the most expensive players and then he told me that he wanted to sell me, says Linn Blohm.

Other Swedes in the team

Ever since 2014, she had been a professional abroad in Denmark (in the clubs Holstebro, Midtjylland and Copenhagen), but now Blohm began to think about a move for her and her son Wilton, who was born in March 2018.

- I started thinking: do I want somewhere else?

Am I going to do anything now?

I also felt that Wilton is still small and if there is ever a time I should try something, it might be now.

Romanian CS Minaur Baia Mare appeared as an alternative and then it was already clear that national teammates Filippa Idéhn and Mikaela Mässing (currently injured) would go to the club.

- If they had not gone to the club, I probably would not have moved there.

Because of the corona, I could not go down and look at the city, but you had to google it, says Blohm and laughs.

The move to Baia Mare, located in northwestern Romania, took place this summer.

The son Wilton now attends an English-language preschool and the club has hired a nanny.

- In the beginning, you thought how will this go with Wilton?

Had we not found a good "nanny" I would not have felt safe with the situation and then I would not have enjoyed, but now I can relax and I feel very safe, says Blohm, who last season was named player of the year in Sweden and foremost middle six in both the World Cup and the Danish league.

The Romanian league has not started yet.

Due to the pandemic, it has been moved forward and the hope is that it will start in mid-October.

- Then the idea is that all teams should gather in one place and stay in the same hotel to play a match every two days.

Then we heard that two weeks later we will gather again and play four matches in six days.

Can be washed

TT: Does it feel safe considering the risk of spreading the infection?

- It feels like there is an infected person, then everyone will probably be infected, but we are tested all the time.

But then we have heard that if someone were to receive corona in a team during such a gathering, that team will be disqualified.

Sweden has started recharging before the European Championships in December and will meet Poland on Saturday for the second time in three days.

Then Linn Blohm celebrates with his 100th international match.
