Officially, the South African Musimane coached Al-Ahly for two seasons

The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club announced today, after a meeting chaired by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club's president, agreeing to terminate the contract with Swiss Rene Fyler and appoint South African Pitso Musimani as his successor as coach of the first team.

The club revealed in a press statement that it had signed a contract with Pitso Musimane and his auxiliary apparatus for two seasons starting today.

He said that the auxiliary body includes an assistant trainer and another specialized in statistics.

He added, "He also joins the system, Sami Shirts as assistant coach, and Belgian Michel Yankon as coach of the goalkeepers, who have been kept, and Sayed Abdel Hafeez continues as director of the ball."

Al-Ahly said that he decided to end the contractual relationship with Fyler in accordance with the terms of his contract with the club, "due to the difficulty of achieving his urgent demands, which were not included in the contract clauses and contradicted the interest and stability of the team at this important stage, as well as the need for its players to focus and prepare for the next stage."
