The Champions League is already back!
Less than two months after the end of the last edition, disturbed by the coronavirus, the draw for the most prestigious of club competitions takes place late Thursday afternoon.
Three French clubs are impatiently waiting to know their future opponents in the first round: PSG, an unhappy finalist against Bayern Munich and still ambitious, as well as OM and Rennes, which should fall into a complicated pool.

PSG have a revenge to take
For PSG, the first round should only be an appetizer before switching to knockout matches next winter.
"Winning it is our goal. We believe in it more than before," assured its president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, who like all the Parisian club wants to take revenge after the final lost to Bayern.
Placed in hat 1, the champions of France should avoid a "hen of death".
Mistrust, however, PSG is not immune to a complicated draw.
Since 2018, the Parisian club has fallen in the first round on Bayern, then Real Madrid and Liverpool, the last three winners of the competition.
This season, the worst-case scenario would reserve him a shock against Lionel Messi's FC Barcelona, as well as difficult clashes against Inter Milan and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

OM are impatiently awaiting this draw, six years after their last appearance in the Champions League, when the club finished the first round with… zero points (against Arsenal, Dortmund and Napoli).
Rennes, third in Ligue 1 at the time of the end of the championship, will for its part have the ambition not to be ridiculous for its very first participation in the C1.
