- It was good news from the government today about an exception from the entry restrictions for world cup skiers in the cross-country disciplines in Lillehammer in December, says Erik Røste, chairman of the Norwegian Ski Association.

He also welcomes the news that the government is opening up to an audience of 600 people in Lillehammer.

- This means that we can plan for a winter season that is approaching normal.

It is very important and a good motivation for everyone, both active, coaches, leaders and parents who are now preparing for a new winter season.

Exceptions are also made for European Cup matches in handball from the Norwegian Directorate of Health's entry rules, says Minister of Culture Abid Raja (V) at a press conference.

Previously, Raja has given the go-ahead for the Norwegian football masters' upcoming international matches against Serbia, Romania and Northern Ireland at Ullevål.

In Sweden, there has been a debate on the same issue and after the World Cup competitions in biathlon in Östersund were moved from there, the sport has criticized the Swedish government.
