For the first time in Champions League history, three Russian clubs will perform at the group stage

Thanks to the victory over the Greek PAOK on aggregate (2: 1; 2: 1), the Russian Krasnodar made it to the group stage of the Champions League.

For the first time in the history of the most prestigious European competition, three domestic teams will play at the group stage at once.

In addition to Krasnodar, the right to play in the Champions League group was won by the Russian champion Zenit, as well as the silver medalist of the Russian Premier League, Lokomotiv Moscow.

Earlier it was reported that Krasnodar reached the group stage of the Champions League for the first time in history.
