The Football Association begins implementing the medical aid initiative for "Asian federations" to support them in facing the "Corona pandemic"

The Emirates Football Association launched a medical aid initiative for "Asian federations" to support them in facing the "Corona pandemic", and began implementing the first phase of the initiative that comes under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Special Armed Forces Concerning the importance of strengthening solidarity and humanitarian cooperation in the face of the "Corona" pandemic.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Chairman of the International Relations Committee, Salem Al Shamsi, said in a press statement: Based on the follow-up of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the Football Association, the committee and the General Secretariat have coordinated with the competent authorities in the country to provide the first batch of medical aid to six Asian federations, which is Tajikistan. Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, the Northern Marina Islands, the Maldives, and Uzbekistan.

He pointed out that this step comes as an embodiment of the humanitarian approach instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and in line with the great assistance the UAE provides to countries affected by the pandemic in all parts of the world.

In turn, the Secretary General of the Football Association, Mohammed Abdullah Hazam Al Dhaheri, said, "The aid provided by our association comes as an expression of the humanitarian approach to our country and an embodiment of the directives of our wise leadership, which is always keen to provide aid to the affected countries," stressing that humanitarian work is an integral part of our culture we inherited from the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.

He added that the first batch of medical aid to the six federations benefiting from it has already started in coordination with the competent authorities in the country.
