Yesterday, the Handball Federation Election Commission announced the final list of the 9 candidates in the board elections for the new session 2020-2024, which will be held on October 5.

The elections for the Hand Union for the next round will witness Nabil bin Ashour running for the position of president alone, and 8 members were nominated: Abdullah Saeed (Al Ain), Nasser Salem (Maliha), Dawood Muhammad (Dibba Al Hisn), Adnan Faraj (Al Dhaid), Saud Ibrahim (Al-Ahly Youth), Faisal Hussein (Al-Nasr), Abdul Salam Rabi` (Al-Wasl), and Anisa Omar Muhammad (Al-Wasl) on the women's seat.

The consultant and official spokesperson of the committee, Hassan Al-Marzouki, confirmed in a press statement that the presence of 9 people competing for 9 seats does not mean declaring their victory unless the quorum for the general assembly is completed on the day of the election.

On the other hand, the Hand Union decided to postpone the start of the new season until further notice, pending the necessary approvals from the competent authorities, and the adoption of the health protocol for precautionary measures against the Corona virus.
