The Japan Rugby Union announced the outline of the next season's tournament on the 28th, and it has been decided that it will start again on January 16th next year and will be held until the end of May.



Next season, there will be three stages, "First Stage", "Second Stage", and "Playoffs", with 25 teams competing, including 16 teams from the Top League and 9 teams from the Top Challenge League, which is in the second division.



The first and second stages will be brute force for each group, and from the second stage, the top four teams from the Top Challenge League will be added.



The playoffs are tournament-based, and the number of teams and dates will be announced as soon as they are decided.



For the event, we are coordinating to require PCR tests for athletes of participating teams.

A new league will be created for the Rugby Top League next year, and in its current form, next season will be the last.
