Real Madrid reveals the nature of Kroos's injury ... and the length of his absence

German Toni Kroos, Real Madrid midfielder who holds the La Liga title, suffers from an injury to the upper muscles of his left thigh, according to what the royal club said on Monday.

The club did not say how long the former world champion was absent from the stadiums, but Spanish reports indicated that he would be absent for about two weeks.

Kroos (30 years) may miss two matches in the local League against Real Valladolid on Wednesday and Levante on Sunday, in addition to his country's international meetings.

Germany will play on Turkish soil friendly on the seventh of next October, before heading to Ukraine on the tenth of it and then receiving Switzerland in the 13th in the European Nations League.

On Sunday, the midfielder asked for an exit before the break from the confrontation in which he narrowly beat Real Betis 3-2 in the Spanish League, noting that he fell in the first match by a negative draw at Real Sociedad.
