It was during Saturday's meeting between Färjestad and Brynäs that Gustav Rydahl got a knee tackle from Brynäsbacken, Niclas Andersén.

Andersén was sent off for two minutes while Gustav Rydahl stepped down injured and did not play again that evening.

In retrospect, Andersén was suspended from three matches by the disciplinary committee and also had to pay a fine of SEK 26,500.

Now Färjestad announces that Captain Rydahl is injured in the knee and will be gone for a while.

- Gustav has suffered a knee injury and will be gone between 3-6 weeks, says coach Johan Pennerborn to the club's website.

The damage list is growing

On Thursday last week, it was announced that another star in Färjestad, namely Joakim Nygård, will be forced to have surgery after looking up an old hand injury.

- Not what it looks like right now.

We have some juniors knocking on the door, who have been involved and done some training and done well.

So in the short term, we are mainly looking at picking up players from the junior side if needed, GM Peter Jakobsson then told SVT Sport regarding whether Färjestad will hunt for replacements or not.
