The Tokyo Olympics has more than 50 things to be simplified, and future hosts may benefit

According to the website of the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee, on the 25th local time, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee (Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organizing Committee) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held a meeting. Ten coordination committee meetings.

At the meeting, the IOC and the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organizing Committee reached an agreement on simplified matters to be reviewed.

　　In response to the decision to simplify the policy, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organizing Committee has included the International Olympic Committee (IOC), International Paralympic Committee (IPC), International Individual Sports Federations (IFs), and national Stakeholders such as the Olympic Committees (NOCs) and National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) as well as partners and broadcasters have conducted many discussions.

In the end, more than 50 items to be simplified were listed.

　　The IOC’s announcement divided the simplified content into four major categories, including reduction of personnel and control of infrastructure construction.

Coates, chairman of the International Olympic Committee Coordination Committee, said that this simplified plan will provide a "Tokyo model" from which future Olympic hosts will benefit.

　　According to Japan’s Kyodo News, it is expected that besides the contestants, the number of participants in the event will be reduced by 10-15% compared to the past.

In terms of infrastructure, the temporary operating venues, lighting and temporary power supply of each venue will be adjusted.

Sports delegations from various countries will not hold the village entrance ceremony when they move into the Olympic Village, and the cleaning services in the Olympic Village will be reduced.
