The Genoa team guard was infected with the Corona virus

Italian football club Genoa announced today, Saturday, that its goalkeeper Mattia Perrin is undergoing health isolation after tests revealed that he was infected with the new Corona virus.

"Perrin has been at his home and has been suffering from mild fever symptoms since Friday, and the results of the tests this morning were positive," said Rolando Maran, coach of Genoa.

"The team trained normally and today we will go to Naples," Maran added.

Perrin, 27, is the first case of Corona infection in the Genoa team, and he is scheduled to remain under isolation for two weeks, according to the protocol followed.

Perrin participated in the match that ended with Genoa's victory over Crotone 1/4 last Sunday in the first stage of the Italian League.

Genoa plays its second game in the new season of the league, against Napoli on Sunday.
