26 minutes into the match between Schalke 04 and Ludwig Augustinsson's Werder Bremen, Turkish midfielder Ozan Kabak tackled the Swede at the sideline.
A few minutes later, the replay pictures showed how Kabak immediately after the tackle spat at the Swede who was lying on the grass.
- I did not notice it then.
But that is not something that has to do with football or "fair play", says Augustinsson after the match.
The referee missed the incident and did not hand out any cards for the tackle.
In the second half, however, Kabak was sent off after drawing his second yellow card for the match.
Werder Bremen won the match 3–1.
Augustinsson assisted to the 2-0 goal.
Schalke 04 has had a lead-heavy start to the season and has a goal difference of 1-11 after losing 0-8 to Bayern Munich in the league premiere.
