Enter the stadium from the home team entrance of the football stadium on Jinhuai Road, and you can see that the team's locker room and other areas have been completed.
When you come to the grandstand area, there are two upper and lower floors, and the upper seat has been installed, forming a sea of red.

The Pudong Football Stadium project is a general contract for the construction of the Shanghai Construction Engineering Second Construction Group. The total floor area of the stadium is 139,304 square meters, and the fixed number of seats is 37,000. It is equipped with a three-story competition field and two training fields.
As a professional football stadium, the Pudong Football Stadium has no track around the stadium, and the stand is only 10 meters away from the stadium, making the game watching experience more immersive.

At the same time, in order to meet the technical standards and requirements of the AFC and FIFA for professional football stadiums, the stadiums rely on sinking the playing field and raising the underground space to improve evacuation efficiency. The main structure adopts a metal roof combined with spoke-type tension and lock nets. The steel structure roof span reaches 212 meters.

Zhu Weimin, Project Manager of Pudong Football Stadium of Shanghai Construction Engineering Second Construction Group, said that the Pudong Football Stadium project has many domestic and foreign firsts. It is the first football stadium in China that relies on sinking the playing field and raising the underground space to greatly improve the evacuation efficiency. The first domestic football field to adopt a spoke-type tension cable net combined metal roof system, and the first domestic professional football field to use the infield as a safe area to accommodate the evacuation of spectators.

As the latest and most advanced football stadium in China, the Pudong Football Stadium project integrates BIM technology, drone real-scene scanning, AR augmented reality technology, and smart construction sites during the construction process.
In addition, the Pudong Football Stadium uses BIM+3D aerial scanning. Through the "virtual" of the BIM model + the "real" of aerial scanning, and the combination of virtual and real, it can well guide on-site deployment, optimize construction organization, and compare construction progress. Control the whole process of project implementation.

Next, the Pudong Football Stadium project will start the construction of the field core turf system after the S10 finals in early November. It is expected to be handed over to the turf major in mid-January 2021. Natural grass will be planted on all fields to assist the turf root reinforcement (anchor grass) system .
"The project is expected to be completed by the end of April next year, Pudong Football Stadium will become the new home of SIPG Football Club," said Zhu Weimin.
