Söderberg played Thursday's first round (74 strokes, four over par) and only later did the answer to the test taken before he entered the tournament bubble at Galgorm Castle GC.
The Swede was tested even after he came to Ireland, but that test was negative.
Now quarantine is waiting for 14 days for Söderberg.
