On Friday, Lionel Messi sent out a farewell photo on Instagram with a long accompanying text in which he paid tribute to Suárez while throwing some shit at his own club.
“You deserved to leave as you are: as one of the most important players in the club's history, winning things as part of a group, and individually.
Not as kicked out, as they have done.
But the truth is that nothing surprises me anymore ", he writes.
The statement comes after Messi decided to stay in Barcelona against his will.
The Argentine announced earlier this summer that he wanted to leave the club for free, which according to contract information he must be allowed to do after each season.
Barcelona, for its part, claimed that the buyout clause of SEK 700 million, corresponding to around SEK 7.2 billion, applied and the Spanish football league La Liga gave the club the right.
