The Miami Heat are storming toward their first NBA Finals since 2014 and are now leading 3-1 in games against the Boston Celtics.

The big hero last night was 20-year-old rookie Tyler Herro who was the best scorer with 37. It has only happened once in NBA history that a rookie scored more points in a playoff game.

That time, in May 1980, it was the legendary Magic Johnson who scored 42 points for the Los Angeles Lakers.

That a rookie scores 30 or more points in a playoff game is extremely unusual.

This was the second time this has happened in the last 35 years.

"Will fall in love with the guy"

If you also look at the semifinals and onwards, no rookie has ever scored as many points in a match as Herro.

- This was his night and I hope it is his night in the next match as well.

He led us to victory today.

Keep in mind that he is a rookie and will be much better, says the team's big star Jimmy Butler at the press conference afterwards.

- Tyler plays as if he has already done ten seasons in the league.

Miami will fall in love with this guy.

He is a key player for us for many years to come.

Veteran Goran Dragic fills in:

- He's incredible.

Now you all got to see what he stands for.

He is an incredible player who will only get better.

He will be a star in this league.
