New Neymar accusation of racist insults against a Japanese player

French club Marseille confirmed that it has "videos" that show Brazilian striker Neymar, Paris Saint-Germain, directing racist insults at the Marseille player.

The club said that its Japanese player Hiroki Sakai was a victim of Neymar's racism.

He said that the Brazilian player went to Sakai during the controversial match that brought the two teams together on the 13th of this month in the French Football League, according to what a source close to the Marseille club told (AFP) today.

Neymar had complained of racist insults directed at him by Spaniard Alvaro, Marseille defender, in El Clásico, which witnessed great tension between the two teams, which led to the dismissal of five players.

A source close to Marseille, who asked not to be named, said that the club has scenes showing Neymar heading in insulting terms to Sakai, thus confirming information broadcast by the Spanish "Cadena Cup" radio.

He said that these racist statements were made by Neymar twice.

The Brazilian "Globo" channel reported Monday that Saint-Germain sent a video to the French League that showed, according to lip-reading experts, that Neymar was the victim of racist insults in the match held at the "Parc des Princes" stadium.

This media battle comes at a time when the Disciplinary Committee of the French Federation opened an investigation against Alvaro in racist accusations against the Brazilian.

The investigation is expected to include a study of the words of Neymar, who allegedly launched anti-gay insults at Alvaro, according to images analyzed by Spanish media.

For his part, French champions Saint-Germain presented a video to the League, accompanied by pictures "showing the behavior of the players," according to what a source close to the club of the capital told Agence France-Presse, who preferred not to be named, refuting the accusations against the Brazilian.

"These are just allegations made by a Spanish journalist with the support of Marseille without a doubt. For us, they have no value. Usually in these cases, when you have a video, you broadcast it on social media, it is more effective," the source said.

The disciplinary committee suspended Neymar for two matches and Saint-Germain defender Levin Kurzawa six matches for pushing Jordan Amavi, Marseille back, who in turn suspended three games after they were both sent off at the end of the match.

Saint Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes was also suspended for two matches for clashing with his native Dario Benedetto, who stopped one match after being sent off after two warnings.

The Argentine, Angel Di Maria, will be summoned to attend the association's disciplinary committee meeting on the 23rd due to allegations that he spat on Gonzalez.
