Corona infection puts the Turin team in quarantine

The Italian newspaper "La Stampa" reported the day before yesterday that the Turin team will be subjected to quarantine after testing positive for one of its players in the new Corona virus tests.

The newspaper added that the players and crew will be quarantined, and checks will be conducted for them, with the possibility of canceling the team's next match against Atalanta.

Turin opened its season in the Italian league with a 0/1 loss to Fiorentina last Saturday, at a time when the new season kicked off shortly after the end of the 2019/2020 season, which was affected by the Corona outbreak.

The Turin match against Fiorentina was held at the "Artemio Franchi" stadium without fans attending, despite the Italian government recently easing the safety measures that were applied in early March.

Fans were allowed to attend some stadiums, as the government stated that it would allow a maximum of 1,000 fans to attend until the seventh of next October.
