An official source in the Professional League categorically denied what is reported on social media that there is a tendency to cancel the Arab Gulf Football League for the 2020-2021 season, noting that the Association had set, in coordination with the Football Association and the competent authorities, next October as the date for the start of the new sports season After it had been set this September as the date for its launch.

The source told "Emirates Today": "Everything that was mentioned about canceling the league is incorrect."

It is noteworthy that the Professional League had decided, in coordination with the Football Association and the competent authorities, not to complete the last sports season 2019-2020, and to cancel all the results of the various competitions organized by the League.
