It was a stopwatch that we had imagined 1000 times, with Thibaut Pinot in yellow and a few seconds ahead to defend on Roglic or Bernal.
It was a month ago, and it feels like an eternity.
Out of the way since his fall in Nice, the French climber will just seek to take a little pleasure, for once, by passing through his village, where he will be able to see his goats, his boules pitch, and all his family, who have had time to make up for it.
The Tour will be played a little later, when the top ten in the general classification will start.
