Johan Kristoffersson took the season's third victory in the World Cup series.

The Swedish rallycross star was second in the qualifiers behind Finnish Niclas Grönholm.

But in the semifinals and finals, he showed his high class.

In the semifinals, Kristoffersson won before Robin Larsson and Kevin Hansen.

The trio Mattias Ekström, Niclas Grönholm and the reigning world champion Timmy Hansen joined them in the final.

Fasten the World Cup lead

In the final, Robin Larsson spun in a tight first curve, but after that Kristoffersson controlled the final heat until the goal flag.

- It feels very good.

I did not have the best times in the qualifiers, but had good tires in both the semifinals and the final, and everything is much easier when you have good tires, says Johan Kristoffersson after the victory.

With the victory, Kristoffersson consolidated the World Cup lead, 21 points ahead of Ekström.

The World Cup series continues on Sunday with sub-competition six.
