Although there is another stage on the program on Sunday, the Tour de France will be decided the day before.

Yellow jersey carrier Primoz Roglic and Tadej Pogacar compete for victory on Saturday in a 36-kilometer time trial from Lure to La Planche des Belles Filles.

The mountain in the Vosges was only included in the Tour de France for the first time in 2012, but has been a welcome guest ever since.

In 2014, 2017 and last year, the mountain was also part of the Tour de France.

A time trial on La Planche des Belles Filles is new, although the unpaved part where the finish was drawn last year, is now omitted.

For many climbers, it will mainly be important to get through the first 15 kilometers of the ride, because they are flat.

Then the first climb awaits, although the Col de la Chevestraye cannot exactly be compared to the final climb.

After a short descent, the riders will start the 8-kilometer-long final climb.

It starts fairly easy, but after a few kilometers it becomes annoying with strips of between 11 and 13 percent.

The center of gravity is in the last few meters, when the increase increases to 20 percent.

Roglic starts the crucial time trial with a 57 seconds lead on Pogacar.

The yellow jersey wearer has the best starting position, but was already beaten by his Slovenian compatriot earlier this year.

In the Slovenian time trial championship, Pogacar Roglic trumped.
