After a nice start to the season, where there were three straight competitions where she managed at least 1.92, things have gone a little worse lately.

But tonight, the 32-year-old showed proof of fine jumping, where she touched the best of the year that she achieved when she passed 1.95 at the Swedish Championships in Uppsala.

Trembling on the bar

In her second attempt, she again managed 1.95 at Rome's Diamond League gala.

After a little trembling on the bar and a few seconds of nervous waiting, Kinsey could see the bar remained, whereupon she bounced bouncing up and down on the carpet.

The next height was 1.98, but there it stopped.

However, it was not too far from Kinsey to reach that height, especially on the first two attempts.

Nicola McDermott and Jaroslava Mahuchikh also broke out at 1.98, but the latter's compatriot Julija Levchenko managed in the first attempt and won the competition.
