Sweden's junior WC is moved forward - for two years

The move is a result of this season's JVM being played in a "bubble" in front of empty stands in Edmonton.

As compensation for this, Canada may also arrange JVM next season and instead move Sweden's JVM to be arranged in Gothenburg.

WC 2022/23 remains in Russian Novosibirsk.

- We have all the respect for this situation that affects the whole world and international ice hockey. We had obviously wanted to be in charge of the event as planned already next year, but are now looking forward to a real hockey party in the 2023/2024 season instead. We look forward to being able to carry out this event together with Gothenburg as planned but with a two-year delay, says Anders Larsson in a statement on the association's website.
