Falkenberg did not succeed in creating any goal chances initially.

Varberg's first goal chance came after a quarter when Astrit Selmani was very close to scoring.

The match evened out and the team took turns creating goal chances.

With 33 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as Christoffer Carlsson flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.

Axel Norén was left unmarked in the box.

Second by Peter

The second half was also tight and poor chances.

But after just under 70 minutes, Nsima Peter stayed ahead in one of Falkenberg's attacks and was able to put 2-0 up close.

With a quarter left, it looked as if Varberg would get his chance for reduction when referee Kaspar Sjöberg sentenced a penalty for one hand.

However, the assistant referee was able to testify that the ball was not in the vicinity of any hand.

Varberg tried to get a reduction, but Falkenberg was rather closer to 3-0 on one of the changes that they got a chance to.

The match ended 2-0.

Important win for Falkenberg who has 16 recorded points after 20 rounds.

A stick behind Helsingborg in the qualifiers.
